Project: Help my client pull together the dining room adjacent to the living room we had just finished (see “A Multifunctional Living Space”). We weren’t making drastic changes — paint color and furniture needed to stay the same — but we needed to reupholster the chairs, change out the rug and lighting, add art and curtains, and style the buffet, table and fireplace to make it looked pulled together and ready for dinner.
Design Challenge: Does Mark Twain go with the curtains and fabric??? Why, yes, in fact, he does!
Best Part: Um, definitely, the original bottlecap art that my client commissioned the talented Molly Bright (www.mollybright.com) to make for this space. It’s perfect for this space and family!
